Settings used: All defaults except for raising the Violence to "Hard" and adding a "Sub" button.

This video was made with CamStudio and SSF v0.09 beta R3, then processed with VirtualDub and Riva FLV Encoder. Recording was done at 20 FPS.

This is a full run (not a 1CC though) of Elevator Action Returns on the Sega Saturn. This version was made by Ving, who brought several other Taito games to the Saturn.

Yasuhisa Watanabe's (aka Yack, formerly of Zuntata) BGM is very good on the arcade version, but it's even better on this one.

The score counter has 7 digits instead of 6, since there have been counter stops (999,900) on the arcade version. You can set a 3rd "Sub" button up to use bombs rather than having to hit Jump+Shot together.

This does improve somewhat on the Taito F3 cart version. Load times are not too terribly long.

Mission 1- "RED AFTER IMAGE"
It starts out simple enough. You need to go in the red doors. The blue ones are optional but worth going into because you can find some good stuff there. Knocking the lights out can help you rack up some good scores.

  • Awsome! If only this was available for my PAL Saturn = (

I'll just have to stick to the Game Boy version.

  • @SEGA128DC

Get a Japanese Saturn,,anything less would be uncivilized.

  • Hmm, I wished Elevator Action Returns for the Sega Saturn was released in the U.S. not just Japan...

  • Seems the way the lights go on and off is better than in the arcade version, although I have to base my opinion on Taito Legends 2 (pc, which is MAME) and Taito Legends PS2 (which seems to not use MAME). Music's indeed improved as well.

  • awesome i have this game on mame
