The Motel Kids of Orange County is an HBO Documentary about the lives of children who live in extended stay motels. People with low income sometimes do not have the money to be able to move into their own apartment, so they have to live in weekly hotels for extended periods of time - sometimes, there are whole families living in a single hotel room. This HBO Documentary takes a look into the lives of the children who live in such conditions. For many low income families, weekly hotels are a common part of life - It's about time someone shed some light on the issue.

I remember in 2002 when my momn sister n I had to move to a hotel and struggle to stay there....and almost had to sleep in our car once.....life is never easy it will always remain a work in progress....

Volunteer with the homeless. I did for 10 years, best reward out there. Lots of young people came to Calgary looking for work, not enough houses. Helped a young dude get into a seminary.

Nothing dumb about the reporter asking what life is like living as a homeless child. She was looking for the kid to describe this misfortune, such as Pedo bears, beds full of STD slime, the potential to be vaporized in a Meth explosion, living in substandard structual buildings that could collapse....

Her name was Cassidy and she broke my heart. When she was asked what she had to look forward to and she said she had nothing to look forward to, I cried. Such a young girl but with an old soul. I truely hope she makes it out, gets a decent education and has a better life.

I lived in motels with my kids once.. believe me I know esactly how it feels.. as a parent you feel like ur worth nothing cause you can provide for ur kids...But i never gave up..as a single mom ur kids are the ones that keep you going.. and u always think, "if i give up, who will take care of them, what will they do"? so u do what ever to survive...and even if it means selling your body.. it's sad, but a single mother will do anything for her kids.. i am a business owner now..
