This shit makes me cry every time I see it.
-
I lived it, I was there (El Dorado, Silver Moon, Covered Wagon, Valencia, Fire station Motel ETC..) I survived it! Never give up kids! Stay in school its the only way to break this cycle.

i dont think its correct to say that orange county is one of the most richest places in the country....I myself live in orange county and i could say that it definately isn't. OC is glamourized by tv shows to be a very affluent county and its the total opposite!!! it breaks my heart to see these families in the situation that they are in especially living across the street from the happiest place on earth...DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

living in hotel but going to a safe/nice school > living in ghetto, going to unsafe/not nice school.

All the idiots commenting about "killing the fogs", problem solved must be mentally challenged.! Those dogs are the only real friends they have. Killing their loving pets would only cause more psychological injuries besides the ones they are already enduring.! There you have it.! ... Humans been just brainless pieces of CRAP.! UNBELIEVABLE.!

@marikobrandon How much she spends on the dogs is really besides the point. This just gives you insight into her priorities. She sits there and complains about how little her paycheck is- well, if it's so little, shouldn't every penny count? Isn't owning a dog a luxury? And if she's stupidly spending her money caring for dogs she can't afford, where else is she wasting money? If she wants to live in a motel - fine- but when she drags her children down with her, that disgusts me.

@triton2toro I *loathe* pets, but if you saw the doc, you'd see that it doesn't really matter that she has 4 dogs (they are all little ratty things, it's not like they eat 40-lb bags of chow.) Even if she got rid of the dogs, she wouldn't have enough money to rent an apartment. the dogs are the small comfort they have, is all.

@bettaman94 I watched the doc last night (HBO has a new streaming service) and saw no evidence that the kids were being coached. The way it's edited for the trailer makes it seem that way. She actually sort-of rambles, in a very childlike way about how it's like living in Hell (the place) where The Devil is making bad things happen or something like that.

first of to save money kill the dogs or get rid of them dogs cost money to take care of

Interviewer: What is the worst thing about being a homeless kid?
