The true reason why so many attempts to finish Hitler failed is psicologycal: he was promoted to the image of a God by Goebbels propaganda and nobody dared to shoot at him when in his presence. Everybody feared him and until 1945 only himself had the guts to kill himself.

Actually, that is rude.
1. You are talking about high ranking officers in wartime who were willing to ignore their supreme oath to obedience to their commanders. That would be rare in ANY country as history has proven. And they did try as early as late 1941.
2. The thought of killing Hitler meant the possibility of killing your wife, children. Is that a risk you can make with no problem at all? I doubt your life was ever in this type of balance. Please respect those who did the right thing.
