SHREDDAGE X - AVAILABLE NOW! Get it HERE:

http://impactsoundworks.com/products/instrumental/shreddage/shreddage-x

Impact Soundworks developer Andrew Aversa gives a first-look demonstration of SHREDDAGE X! This brutal expansion pack more than doubles the number of sales in the original SHREDDAGE rock/metal electric guitar library.

In this video, you'll see all the new features of SHREDDAGE X, from legato and portamento scripting to note and chord stops, hard sustains, vibrato, harmonics, tremolo picking and Ab tuning. You'll also see how easy it is to sequence phat, wide metal riffs, along with tips for improving the realism of your guitar parts!

The original SHREDDAGE is still available for only $49 at http://www.impactsoundworks.com/ - having been awarded Staff Recommendation by Beat magazine, 9/10 in Computer Music and 9.5 at ProRec.com, these DI electric guitar samples are the real deal. We've received emails from hundreds of customers all over the world saying they've retired their existing rhyhtm guitar samples after getting Shreddage, so you'd better believe the expansion is a monster!

  • kinda disapointed with this product, bought it thinking it was fairly easy to jump into, but i cant even add it as library to kontakt, have to dig through the database to find any of the patches by searching for shreddage, really annoying. and all patches sound alike, like banjos, nothing sound remotely metal, i'm sure im just an idiot that doesnt know how to plug on the distort, but this is alot less user friendly than i had imagined it would be.

  • @deuone I'm working on another tutorial video that shows how to get up and running in <30 seconds from a completely blank project, so I think that will help you. You do need a good amp sim for this to work properly, but you're in luck, we're about to release a free update powered by ReValver that will solve that issue too :-) Lastly, as for having to scan the database, unfortunately this is the case for any non-"Kontakt Player" instrument... other sample devs have to deal with this too.

  • @zirconst okay, i don't mean no disrespect, i just get easily frustrated with stuff not working like i originally thought it would. do you use effects beside shreddage x in your video to get the sound you get? cause i can't get it to sound anything like this with shreddage x alone.

  • @deuone No problem. No other effects there, just Guitar Rig 4. You can see exactly what presets I'm using and the notes I sequenced - there's nothing going on that you don't see in the video. But like I said, very very soon I'll be doing another one which breaks it down into even more detail, step-by-step, including amping!

  • Sorry, I'm kind of confused on the Kontakt question

OK, before I buy the Bundle, I would like to know a few things.

I use Sonar X1 Producer and I do have BigFish Rig and GPO that comes with Kontakt and I am using Kontakt 4.

My question is , would I need to still buy the full version of Kontakt or would it continue to time out DEMO using Shreddage & Shreddage X through

the plugins that Kontakt came with, would I still need to purchase a separate full version of Kontact?

  • @Reggmail You do need the FULL version of Kontakt 4 (not "Kontakt 4 Player" or "Kontakt Player") to use these libraries, as with the rest of our sounds. However, we're working on porting Shreddage (original) to the DirectWave sampler format, and DW is only $100.
