Mitt Romney said at a gubernatorial debate on Sept. 24th, 2002 that "We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts- I support them...I believe they help protect us, and provide for our safety."

Many EU countries have far stricter gun control. Yet the crime rates are going up and, interestingly, the gun related crimes, too. Why? Well, I can get a real AK47 on the Amsterdam black market for roughly 300 Euro. That's the real one, the assault rifle, not a semi-auto knock-off. Regular handguns go for far less, of course. Thus any criminal can get a gun and the citizens are defenseless. And criminals break laws, oh the noes.
Plus, when seconds count the police is only minutes away.
