MORELAND & ARBUCKLE SET TO RELEASE
TELARC DEBUT ON FEBRUARY 23, 2010

Flood rocks with rootsy, hard-driving sound

Music has the power to transport us: to carry us to mysterious places and explore new worlds.

On Flood, Moreland & Arbuckles debut release on Telarc International, a division of Concord Music Group, the rootsy, hard-driving group from Kansas takes music itself to places its never been. Featuring mostly original tunes, Flood presents a dynamic mix of thirteen acoustic and electric songs, each performed with all the subtlety of a passing freight train.

Ever since guitarist Aaron Moreland first met singer/harpist Dustin Arbuckle at an open mic jam in Wichita in 2001, Moreland & Arbuckle have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Along Brad Horner on drums, the group features Moreland playing everything from National steel to a cigar box guitar, and Arbuckle singing and playing harmonica.

  • If you have good influentions maybe you can become a superdopa bigger f88cking band as Moreland & Arbuckle. That's our fenix!!

  • Saw these guys Friday at Blues Fest Cincinnati! Incredible and so different from other bands I've seen. Lots of soul! My kids loved them too. My son's been playing on his harmonica ever since!

  • Brad is most likely the best drummer that I have heard or worked with in 35 years of music.

  • Excellent show in Cracow, Poland last night as part of their European tour. A nice chat and autographs after the concert only added to the overall good impression. We definitely want more of Moreland&Arbuckle in Europe in the future!

  • Very fine show in Austin at the Saxon Pub in November...strong showing. Brought down the house and a crowd of guitar players.

  • Ran an itty bitty bar in Madrid NM for a bit. They blew our minds one night.

  • I got to see and hang out with these guys at a private show in Cobourg Ontario a few years ago. Great to see people are catching on to such a gritty bad ass blues band, and thank you Jim Jones for bringing them to our small town

  • Saw them in St Louis and loved the music. They sang a song there with a lyric, "help me spend my gold". The song wasn't on Flood, is it on one of their other CDs?

  • Just saw them open for Los Lobos, they rocked the house. A lot of sound for a 3 man band.....
