A basic tutorial on creating a laser weapon effect in Blender. Nothing fancy, just playing with Halo materials and Particle systems. If you want the model and/or the Blend file, shoot me an email (make sure to include your return email address, though, because I can't upload *.blend files to YouTube). Thanks!

  • @andtastic1 Yeah I see your point! I went into 2.5 to do this tut and couldnt find IPO. the F-Curve editor is no help whatsoever. Ill do some research and ill try to get back to you with a solution! :)

  • @epikphaylle thanks for the reply, have solved the light settings, but still cannot find the graph or IPO to manually configure keyframes, it seems much easier to do with pre-2.5 blender.

  • @andtastic1 well, okay. click on your light, then go to the properties tab, find the icon with a lightbulb with 4 arrows coming out of it. There you set most the light properties. Ive used 2.49 alot but also wanted to figure out the 2.5 ui, so I hope that solved your problem :)

  • @Kuhnsan probably a good thing, i went from 2.49 to 2.5, and couldn't even find the lamp buttons...so i went back to 2.49, lol
