When WOW reporter Damiana Garcia went to the opening reception for Ryan Trecartin's "Any Ever" show at MOCA at The Pacific Design Center, it was as if she had descended upon a veritable Who's Who of progressive queer artists from LA to NYC. This video was made for The WOW Report:

Damiana mingled with the artist himself and his creative partner Lizzie Fitch, their fabulous and alluring ensemble cast, fashion designer Jeremy Scott, singer Sam Sparro, performance artists Zackary Drucker and Wu Ingrid Tsang, gallery curator Elizabeth Dee (an early champion of Ryan's work), MOCA's Samuel Vasquez and Elizabeth Greenway, and many more. The next day Damiana was invited to DIS Magazine's pool party/luncheon honoring Ryan, held at a lavish 1920's Spanish-style mansion in sunny Los Feliz, where cocktails flowed freely, the mood was sexy and carefree, and the predominant look was Summer Goth. The Germs' Don Bolles made an appearance, as well. Ryan's show "Any Ever" runs through October 17, 2010 at MOCA at The Pacific Design Center - check their website for show and ticket info: http://www.moca.org

Damiana Garcia is played by Michael Lucid, and Raymond Tejada and Graham Kolbeins were the cameramen for this episode.
