This might sound cruel. Don't direct your anger at me, but politicians see the military as pawns in their game. The world is the board and the troops are, but mere pawns to them. Anyone play chess before? Same thing to them. They don't care about anything else except furthering their own ends. Sorry, but that's hard cold reality, but hopefully that will soon change if we will it to ;)
