  • Acts 27:9 states" Since much time had been lost and sailing WAS NOW DANGEROUS, because even the Fast had already gone by, Paul ADVISED them, saying "Sirs, I can SEE that the voyage will be with danger and much heavy loss, not only of cargo and the ship, but also of our lives." This was not prophecy...it was the fact that Paul seen that the storm was very bad...Paul didn't prophesy until verses 21-26 of Acts 27.

  • @rayday31 A very valid observation! However, it seems it would all come down to how you interpret 'perceive' in verse 10. One could also state Paul was (at first) convinced he was perceiving the future not only based on the appearance of the storm, but of what he thought he was sensing in his spirit. Any man with a tremendous gift such as Paul's would have to be aware of the impact their words carry. Either way, many modern prophetic voices face similar situations.

    God bless!
