Expalianation of Identity of Muslim

Should we accept the identity of Muslim according to Movli i.e beard, Shalwar with above ankle, Turban and spread specific school of thought teaching
Or
Defined by Beautiful Hadith Gabriel

On the authority of Umar Ibn al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him), who said: Once while we were sitting in the company of Allahs Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) there came upon us a man with snow-white attire and his hair was jet black. There were no signs of travelling upon him; and none of us recognized him.Image
He sat along with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and knelt before the Prophets knees and placed his palms on the Prophets thighs and said: O Muhammad! Inform me about Al Islam. The Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Al Islam is to testify that La Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Rasullullah (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), to establish the Salah (the five daily prayers), to pay the Zakah (obligatory charity), to observe the fast of Ramadan, and to perform the Hajj (pilgrimage) to the House (the Holy Mosque n Makka) if you can afford it. The man said: You have told the truth. Umar said: It amazed us that he would ask the question and he then would verify the truth himself.

Ruling of lower garments covers the ankles

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.678 Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet (saws) said, "The part of an Izar (lower garment) which hangs below the ankles, is in the Fire."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.675 Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection, at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit." On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Messenger (saws)! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet (saws) said, -You are not one of those who do that out of conceit."

If the normal dress-code of the society one lives in is such that the lower garments covers the ankles, and one has absolutely no intention of displaying any pride or arrogance by wearing his lower garment below his ankles, the majority of the scholars in Islam are of the opinion that Allah Subhanah would not hold him accountable for his deed.

To the best of our limited knowledge, we have not come across a specific command in the Quran or Sunnah whereby it is declared that he who copies the pagan`s clothing is one of them. The guidance given to the believers regarding the prohibition of the imitation of pagans is general, which includes apparel and dress but is not exclusive to it, ones manners, ones celebrations, etc.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4020 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar The Prophet (saws) said: He who copies any people is one of them!

The Messenger of Allah (saws) himself, his chaste and noble family, and his noble companions themselves wore the dresses which were worn by their people of the times. Allah and His Messenger (saws) have neither specified nor limited the believers to a particular Islamic dress, but rather gave some conditions which the dress one adorns himself/herself with must be fulfilled

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verse 26:
"O ye children of Adam! We have bestowed clothing upon you to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you; but the clothing of taqwa (piety, righteousness, etc.) that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah that they may receive admonition!"

  • I hate when people mould islam and the sunnahs into the way it best suits them so they can live comfortably and blend in with the western ways nd practices, why are we so ashamed of our beautiful religon snd the way of the beloved prophet p.b.u.h, one should count ourselves so lucky to have imaan we shudnt be embarrased or scared we have ALLAH on our side!!

  • @sahilshaikh87 wow..wat a logic.mashAllah.wat command..now look either u dont get him or u r illiterate.sorry but thats what i got from ur comment.brother if ppl agreed upon beard to be a sunna there is no point of debate..wat he is saying here isthat its not DEEN meaning ppl thinks that its compalsory whereas it can be taken as sunna aur uswaey husana but cant be considered as deen.i would suggest u to go and get the basic idea of wat is deen and wats not..then u ll have a clear understanding.

  • @sahilshaikh87 watch ur last line...out of pride...and wat about other forms of pride y then rasool s.a.w.w said to abubakar R.A when he asked that his lower garments go down to the ankle that maazallah aap mutakabbareen man se nahin hain???it means if u r doing anything out of pride is prohibited...dont believe watever u know is right or deen..try and figure out the truth...

  • 1- first if Beard is not fardh at least it’s Sunnat-e-mo'akkida

2-BUKHARI 7.826: (summary) Narrated Ibn Mas`ud: Allah has cursed those women who practice tattooing....and those who remove hair from their faces, and those who create spaces between their teeth........CONT.

IS GHAMIDI SB SAYING THAT ISLAM CURSING WOMEN FOR REMOVING HAIR FROM FACES AND MEN ARE ALLOWED TO REMOVE THEIR HAIR IN THIS ABOVE BUKHARI HADITH?

  • Mr. Shaikh87, I think you should watch this video again, All hadith that you have mentioned are supporting his point of view. We should not get angry on everybody's opinion. you should research more and find out yourself.

  • His urdu is very good mashaAllah... and this may give the impression that what he saying is sah (correct) given his fluency in talking about religious matters. However, he is merely giving his opinion which he is entitled to do. The vast of scholars of Islamic fiqh (jurisprudence) will disagree with him, for example on his views of the 'dari' (beard), but khalas. This is the view of one individual.

    Fee Amaanillah.

  • if a person isnt following the Sunnah then he doesnt even has the rights to stop people from it by giving his stupid baseless opinion...

  • Messenger of Allah (PBUH) has emphatically said that Izar should remain above the ankle of men as its dragging down signifies arrogance. Indeed it displays the attitude of the haughty whose grim fate can be seen in this Hadith.

  • Commentary: Here Allah's refusal to see an arrogant man means the restraint of the flow of His Grace towards him. Instead of Allah's Mercy, His Wrath will smite the arrogant. The garment which man wears to cover the lower half of his body is called Izar in Arabic. Hence pyjamas, trousers, Shalwar and Tahband will be taken as Izar.

  • 616. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not look at him who trails his lower garment out of pride.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
