  • @rosaenid18 you might like some of Kelly Price's work...

  • Somebody Bigger Job 36: 22-33 & 37: 1-24. These were the words of Elihu spoken to Job and the other old dudes with Job (Eliphaz, Bildad, & Zophar) when he was questioning why so many bad things were happening to him. Thats the closest thing i can find, but this song seems more testimonial than telling of a bible story. If this song was on CD back then, Elihu would've made Job listen to it lol.

It Don't Cost Very Much. lessons from Matthew 25: 34-40 mesh with this song. Karma for christians?

  • what did she do at 3:25? gotta review this for singing class. kinda cool to know your video is referenced in academia huh?

  • Touch my heart and soul.... how we need a Mahalia Jackson today lord.

  • Wow. The incomparable Mahalia Jackson.

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! It made my weekend. God bless you.

  • Im so glad to see this rare footage I love mahalia jackson I want to be just like her im only 25 years old I love her music so much

  • I followed this woman throughout my life, and I know none greater than she, the great Mahalia Jackson. She song with conviction . . . and most of all, she was an example of what a (real) Woman of the Gospel is, and sings about. Her singing was far more than entertainment. As a matter of fact, she did not see it soley as such . . . she saw it has ministering to the soul, and as unto the Lord in praise and sincerity. There are "no more" Mahalia Jackson's . . and none come close to her manner.

  • Man I tell you I'm 21 years old and I listen to what I call great music as far as jazz, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Country even classical and I tell you she's the greatest AND she only sang one genre of music (Gospel) and she's my favorite singer then there's everyone else no questions Asked!
