This is one of the tunes I'm currently working on, and I love it.

Beirut's St Apollonia.

This is an interesting one as the main part of the tune where the band comes in is hard to replicate with just one instrument, and I still feel like there's something missing.

There are a few mistakes in the last part which I'm still experimenting with but I had a lot of fun playing it...

even if I don't smile a lot lol :)

  • What might the chords for this be?

My band is going to be doing a cover, and it would be awesome if you could help.

  • Hey,

Thanks for the message. I'd so love to hear more people cover this song. Some of the chords are a bit funky as they're not straight forward. I checked a couple of chord finders.

But the shapes are fine. I will try and get something up either tomorrow or Saturday as I have some spare time but otherwise I'm quite busy at the moment so it may be a week or so.

But will definitely let you know.

  • Hi, great cover. What key are you playing in? Also, is that a soprano ukelele?

  • Hey, thanks. Aside from beginning bit most of the song is played in c minor. The beginning is more like a c major.

And yes, that is indeed a soprano ukulele. I love it to bits :3

  • Whoops, I thought my first post didn't go through. Oh well. Here's a third!

  • hey there,

Thanks for the comments. That's something I didn't actually think about, I'll give that a try.

I'll need to go through the chords and write them down since I mostly play by ear. I'll get those out as soon as I can.
