  • I think if you watch the full video (available on google) you will see that New Zealand faced similar issues over implementation precisely because no-one in the existing system wanted MMP to pass, and didn't expect it to. Making the system more equitable, proportional and responsive should be the emphasis here.

    Frankly, the current system allows considerable redisctricting (i.e. Amalgamation) without voter input.

  • If Ontario was to make an informed decision, they should of had the opportunity to hear more than one side of the debate on electoral change. Using our tax dollars to pay for 22 more politicians and their staff at Queens Park, without knowing what the additional 22 will be doing, suggests that we need decisions made for us. I will never give up my electoral power to political opportunists like Olivia Chow !!
