MN GOP Rep. refuses to stand by NRSC Ad

In a press conference at the MN State Office Building, Republican Assistant Minority Leader Laura Brod railed against Al Franken's tax issues while refusing to stand behind a recent ad by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) that received a "D-" in KSTP's Truth Test. A recent Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee against Republican Minority Leader Erik Paulsen was given a "D" in the KSTP Truth Test.

Attacking a candidate based on not paying taxes a few years? That's just low. I could fucking care less if he doesn't pay his taxes. I mean, yeah, it's relevant if he's a big populist and doesn't pay his workers enough or whatever, but if it's just personal taxes, it's a stain on himself, but it shouldn't be a stain on his campaign. Not paying taxes does nothing to harm his ability to govern. It's a cheap shot by the GOP, which are experts at cheap shots. Like that silly bowling ad.
