My 5yr old Boston terrier did exact same thing when we got a second puppy. I did not punish her for growling because I did not want her to associate new puppy with punishment. Rather, I distracted her with treats and toys just when the puppy appoches her and she is about to growl to make her think that 'Oh, the new puppy comes with treat and toys. puppy = fun.' She would forget to growl and go into happy mode. They are best friends now and I don't even need the treats.

I completely agree with you....disciplining Zombie would have made the situation worse. Such cuties!!!

Zombie is lame. Go Biscuits!
FYI: to everyone who thinks we should have disciplined zombie for growling-- as the other comments have pointed out, disciplining him would have had the opposite effect. We let him communicate with her (through growling, etc.) and they are now best friends. He never bit or did anything more aggressive than what you see here. If you don't know anything about dog behavior, please don't post assinine comments about my dogs.
