Interesting thing; the town this movie takes place in, is Willard, and in night of the living dead, the closest town was Willard, where the military was readying to take out the zombies in the area, Fido, in my opinion is like a parralel univirse, where in the Remarow-virse is a much darker look, as this one is a commedy, there both equally mega ausome pausome.

I've called around to sign up to be an extra before, but you have to get an agent, wait for openings, etc. I am too lazy to commit to that, but I'm sure it's worth it once you finally get a gig going. Keep doing what your doing and eventually you will get noticed more and more and become really huge in the acting world!
