I'm not gonna defend anything Christians have done. As you say, no one's innocent and As a Catholic Saxon (I E a Roman Catholic descended from Germanic peoples of Saxony), I too have my biases. We all do. Though I think we can both agree on several things. Firstly, this is fine music. Secondly, more people need to wake up to the fact that no side is completely clean. The sooner we all agree to that, perhaps the sooner we can all start getting along.

@cale42 Northern India? Why look so far? Look what they did in 633 AD when they swept out of the desert and invaded Persia. Look at the imposition of the Arabic alphabet over the Pahlavi script and the changes to the Persian language. Look at how Persian art has been usurped as "Muslim." Look how they forced Islamic culture onto us. Look at the Islamic Republic.

But also look at the Cursades, the Conquest of the New World...

No one's innocent, but as a Persian I have my biases...
