Wilga 2000 Tail Wheel Mod

I modified the Tail Wheel so I could steer the Plane while taxiing.

On the maiden flight it worked so well and even improved landing stability but I didn't have a video Camera that Day.

The weather has been so crappy I hadn't had a chance to fly it and get it on Tape.
Today was so nice out but VERY windy.
I decided to Tape the Plane at least taxiing.
My big mistake was trying a quick flight when there was a lull in the wind.
Just as I took off a strong gust came up and the poor Wilga was at the mercy of Mother Nature... LOL!

I like the tail wheel mod. I also have a Wilga and it is my first plane. Flies pretty good but the landing gear is crap. Where did you get your main gear.

I got the Main Gear at Hobby Town in Lexington, Ky.

You can find them pretty much at any good Model shop.

dont take off in the crosswind idiot -.- then ur plane just continues straight and crash... i know it because i know alot of rc hobby, aerodynamica and i hav my own planes... btw im 15...

If you look at the video I'm not being an idiot.

It was very windy that day and I really didn't even want to fly that day but after goofing with it and gaining too much speed on the down wing leg it went airborne before I knew it and tried to control it to no avail.

Foam Planes gain enough Aor lift so fast that you don't have allot of time to react when you aren't expecting it.

The wind kept shifting allot so there was no way to predict wind direction that day...

hi i wan to ask, i heard that if we wan to charge the battery, we need to charge it outdoor, and cannot in door because it's afraid that is can suddently explode...??

Just finished "upgrading" my tail wheel and wow what a difference. I also "upgraded" the rudder and elevator hinges, now if the weather would cooperate I'd see how she flies.
