The fruit for Day 7 is the Glorious Grape!

Grapes have been around for thousands of years and there's actually proof grapes existed during the Prehistoric Age! That's a long long time!

Grapes are cultivated in many parts of the world and the US is one of the world's largest grape producers. And did you know the Concord Grape is the only grape native to North America?

Nutritionally, grapes are a good source of the following nutrients:
Vitamin C
Vitamin B6
Potassium
Manganese

And as you've probably heard, grapes are high in numerous antioxidants, which have been shown to:
help lower blood pressure
help lower cholesterol
help in the prevention of heart disease and certain cancers

One cup of grapes contains just 61 calories!

And now it's time for your Low Fat, Raw Vegan Recipe featuring the Grape!

GRAPE-CUCUMBER SALAD/SALSA

Here's another tasty, refreshing, quick and easy dish you can eat anytime, anywhere, and with anyone! This Grape treat contains just 200 calories, so feel free to add some chopped nuts for some added crunch if you're wanting a few more calories.

Ingredients

3 cups grapes (any variety), chopped
1 cucumber, chopped into small pieces
1/4 onion, diced (sweeter is better)
1 jalapeno pepper, diced
juice of 1 lime

Put the grapes, cucumber, onion, and pepper into a bowl. Squeeze the lime juice, or pour the juice over everything in the bowl and toss. That's it! You're going to love love love this yummy Low Fat, Raw Vegan treat! (If you're looking for something more salsa-textured, food processor the grapes and onion before adding them to the bowl and mixing with everything else.)

And there's Day 7 for you! Eat gobs and gobs of Glorious Grapes!

  • Not enough calories not enough fat. If you are not overweight eating stuff like this regularly is not good.

  • @snakeguy76 Who says?

  • @VibrantVegan I do. I went on a vegan diet and lost 50 lbs in 3 months.

  • @snakeguy76 All you had to do was eat more calories. A vegan diet in and of itself doesn't lack calories. Your vegan diet lacked calories.

  • @snakeguy76 avocados are good for fat. but you don't need a lot of fat. check out durianriders here on youtube.

  • @VibrantVegan But what is your fat source? 2000 - 3000 calories in plant matter is alot. I think body just missed the meat. The weight loss also messed up my liver and I ended up getting my gall bladder taked out. I went back to my normal diet put on half of the lost weight and I actually feel better.

Also I know you guys call your self "vibrant vegan" but I have to honestly say I have seen a number of vegans in my life and none of them looked healthier or more vibrant than a non-vegan.

  • I LOVE GRAPES!!!!
