  • I probably moved the headphones closer to the camera

  • It's worth noting that the resolution is 800x480 in this vid. That's 5x as many pixels as 320x240, and 4x as many as 400x240. At PSP resolutions, this 30fps turns into ~120fps.

The SGX (GPU) is also half-clocked, and the CPU underclocked. It's also a straight-port with no optimizations. (such as using NEON instructions, which should speed it up significantly)

I would expect to see Quake 2 running at 300fps rather than 30fps, in the near future. ;)

    Great work, Pickle!

  • Awesome.

Running at only 55Mhz? When do we get to see it with the GPU turned up to 11?

Or in this case, 110 :)

  • @cowbot2 I don't think this is emulated

  • It is more pixels but performance of an emulator does not scale linearly with target screen size. You can not conclude that this translates into ~120fps at PSP resolutions because the emulator is also busy doing other things besides drawing the final pixels to screen.

  • 1:06 you increase de volume lol

  • q3: watch?v=mW6CAD2UVek

  • I'm glad I managed to get a preorder in. I'm very excited about this little machine.

  • Spinal Tap ;)
