@SeratoTutor thanks, it did work out just fine! I didnt even have to rebuild the folder structure, "relocate lost files" did it for me

I'm going from PC to Mac and I have my music in many folders with songs I don't use in Serato on my PC.
Question: I can drag my music out of Serato into folder with only that music? Then move both the Serato folder and Serato music only folder into Mac so my crates are in Mac, but not all the extra songs I don't use?
KHHarriss 3 months ago
@KHHarriss - Yes, read up on the Advance File Management feature in Scratch Live, this will let you copy specific crate(s), or specific songs in a crate(s) to a folder on your hard drive (internal or external)

Thanks, great vid Todd! Since this is done with the 1.9 version of SSL, is is still the same process with the current version 2.2 and the new 2011 macbook pro or have there been changes in the transfer process (besides the fact that the ScratchLIVE folder has been renamed)? Thanks for answering!
joccrew 8 months ago
@joccrew - Everything is the same, just now use the _Serato_ folder(s) instead of the ScratchLIVE folder(s).

good video, exactly what i wanted
i just had a question, if on my windows i am using the music of an external hardrive
once i have my mac, can i just plug in my hard drive and play them off that?
detroit110 1 year ago
@detroit110 - Yes, but if your external drive is formatted NTFS, then you won't be able to write to the drive. Macs cannot write to Windows formatted NTFS drives, only read, so you won't be able to save anything to the drive or make changes to the files, so can't make/save crates, build overviews, cue points, loops, etc. If the drive is formatted FAT32, then you can use it on both Mac and PCs.
