To give you an honest answer....boot camp isn't really that hard. It's more of a culture shock and once you adjust you'll be fine and get used to it. It will become routine. Best time of my life (not saying its easy)!!!! I only seen people cry when we got our Eagle, Globe, and Anchor.
S/N My first week in boot camp, I made the statement of "What did I get myself into" and "I'm in hell"...but you'll be fine.

If you are serious about enlisting into the USMC one day, then do yourself a huge favor and read through the website for Future Marines that is linked on my profile page.
It is filled with simple honest info about the Marine Corps and it will answer most of your questions about the USMC. Any question you don't get answered on the site you can send in an email and have your question answered by actual Marines.

When you get to MCRD Parris Island (Where I went to) or MCRD San Diego, you will see grown men cry, grown men screaming "Ay SIR!" in the racks at night, recruits even jump out of there racks and stand on line at the Position of Attention in the middle of the night.

Hey buddy, funny I found this video. I am a 11-B in the U.S.ARNG and have seen ppl break down and cry. Like u said not a funny thing, but all u have to do is know its what you want and will do anything to get it. I wish you nothing but the best of luck brother!!!
