  • "vacilala" and "vacila" are the same. the signal is given by the leading partner with one hand on beat one and then, on the rest of the beats, there is no holding hand. if you maintain contact by hand, vacilala becomes "hecho"

  • Nothing.

    They have the same hand signal. ;)

    But they have different names, and in a rueda, you use both the name, and the hand signal.

  • I think the signal was the same for both Vacila and Vacilala - since they're just slight variations of the same move, I would guess the gent can choose according to his taste if he misses the voice call, and still the rueda stays intact. But I'll consult my teacher... :)

  • You must dance the Vacila with one hand and the Vacilala without hands. :)

  • What was the difference in the caller's hand signal between Vacila vs. Vacilala?
