Now NASCAR needs to approve modern factory engines. Nascar could be so much more interesting if they would approve todays engines with all the goodies inherent to them (VCT, MDS, IMRC, HPDI.) HELL approve turbo charged V6's. The only thing that has a carburetor is a lawnmower and pushrods can only be found on Dodges and Chevys which happen to be a step above a lawnmower in quality but not usefulness.
They do that and I'll start watching NASCAR again.

I've heard the Camaro will not race because Chevy will not change its spec in order to fit NASCAR's templants.
