Flood of 2008 in Grand Falls N.B. behind the falls

Behind the falls at Grand Falls N.B. on may first 2008.The St John river is so high that the water would actually overflow the damn if the gates were closed.The gorge on other side of the damn is full of water and the falls are gone turning the river more like rapids.What an awsome sight.

i grew up across the street fromt he falls in the apartment building. ised to be pizza delight in the same building, i moved away in 1992 but went back to visit the summer of 2007. beautiful town and great people.

I remember someone called Brenda that lived in that building with her kids;1 boy and 1 girl. I beleived they moved to Ontario somewhere around that time,The boy had one hand only dew to an accident when he was younger if i remember correctly.
