Recorded at 300fps, this is a slow motion demonstration of a j-step gainer flash kick.

To those who are learning this trick, this slow motion video may help you better understand the technique and timing. Notice at what point I jump off the ground compared to my swinging leg's position. That is key. My leg is on its upward arc (3'o'clock) when I take off. The reason for this is so that my leg's sling shot like energy is fully utilized for upward momentum.

  • wow hommie ya' almost kicked your head with how much you arch that back. great stuff bro. thanks for sharing

  • Hahaha, yea. I never knew I came that close until I made this video. ^_^

  • @ryukenosuke do you think the sharp arching makes you lose height?

  • It's more of how soon I arch that makes me loose height. If I allowed myself to rise more with my hips rather than throw my upper body backwards right away, I'd have a higher g-flash.
