@phrasmussen I know she's fuckin Irish you daft sod. I am! My point is -, modern, western, contemporary, popular music is cluttered nowadays with people singin in a Trans-Atlantic voice, faux American. I dig Dolores because she/they managed to be contemporary, popular with the critics and public whilst soundin Irish. White English folk, cos they've got Etta James/Aretha Franklin Greatest Hits LP's makin a career out of two-bob karoake. Dumbo, eh? You cheeky fuckin git.

@goonert82 DUMBO! She and the band is irish! Listen to her lyrics and Learn some history (in stead of the ordinary amercan empty pop-lyrics, getting you nowhere. It is forgotten in a year).

What always strikes me about Dolores, and I'm sure there's many more, but she sings in HER accent. I'm sick to the back teeth of fuckin kids these days singin in an American accent. When yer see em on all these "talent" shows in the UK or wherever. Drives me fuckin mad. It's karaoke, yet everyone revere's it. When yer see kids puttin on an African-American Ebonics voice, when they're actually middle class and from England. Can't be doin with it, me. Be what you are, for fuck sake.

this is such a beautiful video, because we were such a wonderful crowd for them that night. the sound of us as a crowd singing along is just amazing. everyone there was not watching a show, we were sharing an experience with eachother and with this talented group of people.
