In the summer of 2009 OLEG, Inc organized a group of 14 students and tutors to hold classes with Georgians at New Gelati Academy in Tbilisi Georgia. Visit: http://www.liberaleducationgeorgia.org

OLEG (Organization for Liberal Education in Georgia) Inc. is an independent nonprofit with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status founded by St. Johns College students and alumni. OLEG's mission is to promote traditional liberal arts education in the country of Georgia and provide the opportunity for students to study abroad.

At the foot of the Caucasus mountains of conflict-ridden Georgia, there is a school which models itself after the program of St. Johns College. The mission of New Gelati Academy, founded in May 2008, within Grigol Robakidze University in Tbilisi, Georgia is to revive traditional liberal arts education in the country of Georgia. The pillars of their curriculum are: "Great Books", Discussion based classes and Study of original texts.
