  • I was stationed at Pease AFB in 1991! I was in the AF Band there.

  • @dsrtflwrorig I salute you Airman!, Pease AFB was one of the very best of the several wrongly closed bases.

  • How many years has Jerry been crying at the end of the telethon? Is there a video of the first cry?

  • @roselandalvin no idea, this was the 1991 telethon I can tell you that much, anyone else know?

  • May God bless you always Jerry. Thank you for all the years you gave to MDA and "Your Kids" I won't watch it without you! Take care sweet prince!

  • He had cried at the end since the 1060's Because I saw them all...

  • One of many fine renditions of "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Mr. Jerry Lewis! Now that Jerry is no longer host of the MDA Telethon (or the national chairman of the organization), who will walk with us each & every Labor Day? By "us", I not only mean those afflicted with MD & other neuromuscular conditions, but also the loyal telethon watchers who have supported Jerry & MDA over these many years. Forty-five telethons of "You'll Never Walk Alone" (from 1966 through 2010). Wow, that's a record!

  • His tears are very real. I remember him barely getting through with his tribute to Frank. You can't fake true emotion. Jerry is pure emotion when it comes to the people that he loves. I never questioned his motives because they always seemed genuine.

  • @Dion1957 Good G-d! L@@K ...yet another troll my brother!

  • actually there is one telethon where he did cry when he did a tribute to sammy davis jr.on the telethon
