This is my favorite choral piece ever. The choir performed it very well. Please, post all the movements here!

Very nice performance. Ignore the negative comments. You guys did a very good job, and I enjoyed your performance.

I have both some criticism and some applause.
1. It is now widely believed that the actual composer of this piece is Francesco Durante, not Pergolesi, and 5 minutes on any musicology site would reveal this. The fact that the director of this group did not know this (since it was put in the program as Pergolesi) is our first hint at a lack of attention to detail or scholarship.
2. I applaud any effort to get children singing serious classical music, so thank you for posting this.

Terrific second violin!

concordo con quello detto da mich52586
esecuzine a dir poco oscena...i tenori sono perennemente calanti..i bassi e contralti inesistenti
-
are you an imbecile, or merely a moron?

Our choir sang this last weekend, it was so hard to figure out the right tempo - my teacher kept changing it. :U So irritating.
The whole Magnificat is absolutely splendid though. :)

We (Richmond Chorale Society , Staten Island) also did this in our winter concert 2008...slower also ...but they did very well. Uplifting piece.
Ah, I didn't know that only appreciative comments were allowed here. Your idea appears to be that when something is free, it must be positively appreciated, right?

I don't see your constructive criticism here .... Read your comment statement and you could had said differently than what you have said. Camera was set up before hand and it was zoomed in/out to film orchestra and the choir while still trying to listen to music. I did not have time to just focus on the camera alone for you to have such negative words.

The tenors scream, the soprano's don't focus, the orchestra is too loud and muddled, and the camera focuses on people who don't sing. I find it hard to find any reasons on why to compliment you. Compliments go out to the compositor of the piece, who died too young. If ever it was Giovanni Battista Pergolesi.

Thank you but why leaving your comment here ??? You seems to not appreciate the effort of others while it is still free watching....
