This was taken from a early 90's video by Sifu Randy Williams. The series is now out of print, and I'm kicking myself only buying this one video! (Since my knee surgery, i am am no longer capable of actually kicking my own butt)
Great video. Do not pay attention to the comments from lack of knowledge people. Obviously their martial art experience is limited. I do not practice wing chun and can see the quality of the sifu.
It's funny reading the negative comments from people that have no clue what they are talking about, I don't think Randy would have been able to own a Wing Chun school in Singapore and be hired to bodyguard celebrities if he wasn't one of the best.
Excellent Video. Just ensure when you head but you are hitting the nose area and not the other guy's forehead region. Other than that good technique. I am studying Traditional Wing Chun and must admit I am enjoying it very much.
@JK420Y That is a common complaint for this type of training but that argument kind of goes both ways. Not many people are willing to take elbows under the chin and straight kicks to the kneecap, fingerjabs to the eyes etc. The best solution is to cross train in Boxing,BJJ,MMA whatever and then work these kind of drills to hone your reflexes. It's all good training. Ring fighting has its limitations too as far as there are rules and refs telling you when to go and stop.
honestly they need to demonstrate this without both guys memorizing the attacks theyre gonna do and letting him grapple and that shit.
demonstrate with a guy that has intentions of landing the hit or desire to hurt otherwise this is not very convincing it looks like itll work against the average civilian not a trained boxer or other martial arts
Awesome video, thanks for the upload! I may not agree with Randy Williams on all his techniques, but overall he's a great teacher and a very funny one at that!
