@DBSOC "broke"? lol Mikieal Kalashinkov invented the AK with the intention of providing young russian fighting men the perfect tool to defend their homeland. Profit had nothing to do with it lol. Kalashnikov himself stated that he is saddend that his creation which was orginallly ment to protect russia is now being used by madmen.

@Joshuamcmichael352 in terms of maintanice, an AR series would have to be constantly cleaned and serviced to ensure proper function whereas an AK can go without maintaince or cleaning of any kind for months nonstop. Nam was a perfect example. And "the most powerful military force on the planet"? the russkies and chinese have not only cracked our so called stealth but have also started mass producing their own nex gen equipment so u might as well throw that "USA is the best" talk lol

@DIESELisBACK900 fyi, russian small arms are among the best in the world in terms of durabality and reliability. i would definitly put more trust in an AK to a shitty m16 that jams like fuck.

@DIESELisBACK900 that is the only weapon I would want out there. 5.56 can't penetrate shit. AK-47's are much more durable, easy to maintain, more powerful and cheaper than American weapons. Have fun cleaning your M16 when you're under fire. Good luck finding cover when a 7.62 is flying around.

@Hatinonthehaters Roger that, you're right, we're both right. i shoulda specify, what i meant was places like china, Arab countries, African countries, even south american countries that boot leg the shit out of the Ak, it lowers the value. Now if you got a Russian/Soviet made, you're good to go. I'm more of a precision shooter so i do preferred an AR platform. Don't get me wrong the AK is awesome.

@DBSOC actually they are very well funded rofl... new AK's that are made in russia are impossible to get and cost about 1500 a piece. plus russian weapons are much more reliable in iraq weather conditions. ill take an ak74 over an m4 any day.
