sir fixalot like to ask you what can it be if my fuel gauge always marks the wrong level amount of gas? at times it mark less gas and other times it marks more than it actually haves. do you think it is my fuel gauge??

funny how things work, I disconnected the fuel sender unit wire to the the ohms reading, then I put it back tighly. noticed the fuel gauge is working again, came down from full to where it should be now all by itself. must have had a loose ground. anyways thanks for the video, I am getting a repair book off ebay! cheers!

Thanks for the video, saved me 500 bucks on my NB Miata when my pump went out last week.
May not be the fuel gauge, more likely the sender unit....sometimes the resistance reading from the sender can fluctuate and then it reads either high or low. Try changing out the sender unit first then if that doesn't work, try the gauge. Good Luck.
