Do Souls Burn Forever?

Are sinners going to burn forever? Does God like to torture people? What does the Bible really say about God's final destruction of sin?

....causing strife and confusion is not of God. Think about it. We live in the Now. Hell is a place of future belonging to those whose names are not written in the book of life. Whether Hell burns for Eternity or not is not going to save a precious soul, but preaching God's love and teaching people how to uphold God's COMMANDS will. Don't lose this focus because we are in crucial times. God bless all of you!

@NHBChristianTalk Do you really believe in an ever burning hell? Jesus doesn't teach that. We all can learn from bible study, even you. God will finally and completely destroy evil by fire, but it won't burn for eternity. How could you enjoy the new earth if you could hear the screams of the tortured souls outside the city for ever? It just isn't true, but Satan would like people to believe that lie so that they will hate God.

Well... It cant be both ways. Jesus is the saviour of the world. If Jesus is the saviour of the world, how will their be lost souls? I have been doing a lot of reserch and found out that hell is mistranslated in the bible. I do believe the unsaved will be put in the lake of fire, but I also belive that it is a place for correction. How will God become all in all if he loses so many souls? God is not a looser and he will win every soul when it is all said and done.

Being tortured by demons is not scriptural either. Hell is separation from God. Imagine the torment you'd feel knowing and seeing that the God everyone always talked about was actually real? Then being sent away from him FOREVER. That alone is enough to kill someone's soul :o

After reading some of these comments I have a big headache. Some people can be so close minded that it's scary. Some just don't see the big picture. Regions all around the world have similar beliefs and similar stories. Add them all up together and you get the big picture. I think that God has given us all the pieces of the puzzle, we just have to put them together. I believe that there's a lot more going on than we realize and that in the end we will finally understand what is going on.

@cr500blur i read marry k baxters book back in 98'. it scared me so bad that 6 months later i was a youth minister. that book changed my life. with that being said, even mary k baxter can be deceived! God does not want us to love him out of fear! he wants us to love him for his righteous judgement and character! i was wrong for years. dont assume as i did that you have the truth cause you were raised with it. were talking about 2000 years of deception!
