My 1st Queen of the Night! Edda spoiled me/ruined me for all other Queen of the Nights...every other one sounds like a little weak bird...she has the big, dramatic, appropriate voice for the character..she sang it with absolute authority!

This comes as close to perfect as I've ever heard this sung ! thanks for posting this.

Moser and Rita Shane are the only two women who I can recall singing the high F with vibrato successfully. Lyric Coloraturas just don't it for me in this role. This is a role for a truly substantial voice.

I disagree, it's one of her worst works, but I still think she sounds amazing. Moser takes the cake though, the way she can switch between dramatic soprano and light coloratura in the same song
PS: giving birth to a pineapple LMAO! XD

@raigekimaru Joan Sutherland is TERRIBLE in this aria - probably her worst work. She transposed it a tone lower and it still sounds like she is giving birth to a pineapple.

I personally detest how sounds a soubrette singing this. Personally if i was pamina in the "hölle rache" scene i would be laughing and saying to the queen "you and whose army little bird!"

I could listen to this over and over.

Fantastic!!!!!!BRAVOOOOO!!!!!!
!Excellent timbre of a voice!!!Outstanding power!
THIS is how The Queen of the Night should sound! I have never heard greater; coloratura soubrette sopranos may have the range to sing it, but not the power or authority! I'll bet Joan Sutherland would have sung the hell out of it, too, if perhaps without Moser's superb diction and ultimate fire. Brava, Moser! Are you still with us?
