Juan Carlos Morales Lemus was born on June 23, 1985 in Viñales, Pinar Del Rio, Cuba.

Juan Carlos is the older of two sons raised in a close knit family who stressed the values of education and the necessities to stay focused in work and maintain a commitment to the community. As a child he excelled in school and was fascinated with the fundamentals of computer technology. When taking a break from his studies he would explore the Viñales Valley outside of the city of Pinal del Rio, Cuba. He saw this as a magic place rich of nature, hills, caves, rivers, fauna and flora. Following graduation from preparatory college he enrolled in the Art Instructors School of Pinar Del Rio, Cuba and graduated in 2004. His natural love of nature and his early memories of the Viñales Valley became the source for his unique master pieces of art that illustrates each one of the environmental elements capturing water, land, and the atmosphere of the air. He captures an atmosphere of a prehistoric look form the Jurassic period often enhanced by a ground fog emanating from the natural warm springs of the valley.

Following graduation from art school, Juan Carlos was employed in the public primary schools to teach children in art while continuing to pursue his career as a professional artist. The strength of his surreal paintings capturing the nature and fauna in his landscapes soon brought him recognition throughout Pinar del Rio. Other professional artists sought him out to learn enhanced materials and techniques to improve their own skills in creating landscapes. Two of the students he mentored, Ramon Vasquez and Giosvany Echeveria had works that were exhibited during a carefully curated exhibition at the prestigious Naples Museum of Art in Naples, Florida in 2009. Reynier Llanes could clearly see the influence Juan Carlos had on these outstanding artists, and has therefore chosen to include the works of Juan Carlos in his own outstanding collection of Cuban artists.
