The Best Weather Man Ever

"Teddy T" aka Ted Textor a former weather man at the TV station I work at on his last day before moving to Florida. He is in front of the weather "wall" where we superimpose the graphics. If you look at the monitor across from him you can see what it looks like on air. This is the second upload as I have finally figured out how to rotate the video.

Ted Textor was at KCTV in Kansas City, before that he was on KTNV in Las Vegas. In between that time he was a commercial pilot.

Anyway, the first two times I saw him was during severe weather. He kept his cool on KCTV, while Katie Horner(chief meterologist) was losing hers. That's what separated him from the rest of the weathermen. When I saw him on KTNV, it was during the 1999 flood. Kept his cool during that as well.

Yes Ted is not all about the hype and scaring people into watching. Katie on the other hand is painful to watch at home and even worse in the studio.

Well apparently Mr. Textor is now at WTSP-TV in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was doing thier 11pm forecast last night. He's new here but when I heard his name, I knew I'd heard it before. Turns out he also spent some time at CNN. Anyway, he seems much better than anyone 10 has had lately. That station is going through a tremendous transition with talent, graphics look, and identity. They just started calling themselves 10 Connects, building their Web page as a key component of the news coverage.

Oh wow that's great, thanks for the information. I assumed he would be back in the business before too long. He took off to Florida to open up a business and we all knew after a while he would be in front of the camera.
