@owlydog Almost looks like you said: *Junk box*. LOL. Let's listen to that ye olde junk box. :)

I feel sorry for the young people who don't only know of gagas, spears, hiphop, rap and the crap of today.

Sounds like '1080p high-definition' stereo! Great upload, MusicMike2! It sounds even better than 'AnnaMayWongSociety's' upload of this song which was in '720p hi-def' stereo...the only thing your upload lacks is the comments at the end of the version uploaded by 'AnnaMayWongSociety'.

I wonder if this would have been a hit if called "Burn Baby Burn"... :-)
-
Run Baby Run is my favorite song by The Newbeats. I have a jukebox myself. Nothing better for playing 45's although I prefer the original mono versions.

I was just outside of Detriot when I first heard this tune. It does carry elements of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Motown & Phil Spector's " Wall of Sound" very well blended. Well worth listening again.

The Newbeats really DID have a beat... :-) And yes, their sound did sort of morph into a Motowish sort of groove... as did their choreography...

Thanks Mike...nice job on the intro and the sound is great! Can still hear Dan Ingram introducing it on WABC in NY.
