asia, africa, middle east, south america: engagement with a 'truly global' cultural production of art, one that is explicitly anti-globalization in its current form. sounds good. but how and what. there are mutiple sites of globalization, and therefore globalizations in the plural. we cannot have a plural form since it would be too big, and too diverse. local hybrid forms are conceivable but then why must they be anti-globalization, that is, wedded to the enemy. globalisms are particular.

@hermannnitsch342d I recommend you to read that book, mainly the first chapters. But, of course, it's important that you know well the postcolonial studies evolution throughout the last decades if you want to understand where exactly Bourriaud fails.

@brincher What was his critique? Was it the subject as constantly negotiated in regards to environment?

In "The Radicant", his arguments criticizing postcolonial studies sound like ten years late. A great writer with a great general idea, but lacking some consistency, in my opinion.

Really, he didn't say much beyond the commonplace of 1980s postcolonialism.
