I'm enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, and I find these Canadian ads, particularly the drug bust one, to be really cool. I think the lack of voices gives it a more awe inspiring and heroic quality than many of the American commercials. Except of course, the Marine commercials. ;)

I find that most of the US military commercials seem like a massive lie.

They portray war to be something heroic and fun. They give it an almost hollywood look.

i served and got that part of my life out of my system. i will say this....our military is better trained than the american military and i dont want to appear like some guy who wants to stick it to them but it is true. even the american commander in afghanistan stated that only the canadian military could carry out the mission in such a fashion that it resulted in dividends and that no other force comes to the theatre with the same approach.

@Canada123kid I still am not quite sure what you are alluding to. If my comments to a troll seem harsh to you, I can't help that. I wore the uniform from age 17 till I was pensioned off. When I soldiered we did not take a bitch slap (verbal or otherwise) from anyone without responding in kind.

As for the Reserves comment..... you bullshit your friends and I'll bullshit mine, but let's not bullshit each other. The Reserves are woefully underfunded, undermanned and undertrained.

@cf80to01 Because when other people read your comments and see that you were in the military, it seconds their thoughts that men from the army, like myself, act in such a way. If your going to be telling everyone you were with the Forces then do so, but do it in a way that shows what true soilders are like.

Secondly, the Primary Res Force does recive the same amount of training, and is well funded, infact they do a lot of training with the full time guys and get paid more for BMQ....
