Hi Laura,
Thank you for this excellent timely video with testimonials throughout. I'm curious what your perspective might be on the Stop Online Piracy Act debate. especially in light of your testimonials about the consequences of unbalanced power with little or no just hearing.
Thank you!

Your content is as good as anything Kim Komando puts out for online marketers.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on diversifying your marketing platforms. For small businesses who are just putting their toes into the marketing pool, would you suggest we focus our marketing strategy on a small handful of platforms like facebook, twitter, and google to measure the success rates better? Or would you suggest we stick our toes in as many platforms as we can get our hands on and just filter out the ones that don't grab as much traffic?

Nice vid, good on you. I had a very successful business in a short period of time and got booted off paypal also for life. Not a nice feeling when I know my calling is doing business online.

Well done Laura; The long and the short of it is this; Record 100% of your videos on your own equipment, NOT on things like FB or YouTube create video from webcam. Host 100% of your videos on your blog server. If GoDaddy kills domain, it can be picked up elsewhere. I know this because we manage over 5,000 domains at any one time, and have had numerous server "unplugs" and moves. If it's yours OWN IT :) ...EVERYTHING you post to YouTube or FB is THEIR property, and you have "0" rights to it.
Great info Laura, as usual with you. lol
I work for a company that's a great option to PayPal & Credit Cards, more info on my YT Channel. We just won an award from Harvard Business School. We can save you 50 - 80% on on Merchant Service charges, no credit checks ...
We're a convenient way to pay and get paid using your mobile phone or computer.
transforms any mobile phone into a convenient, easy and secure way to send or receive money and pay for goods/services - anywhere, anytime, with anyone.

Good stuff, Laura. I learned from Mike Filsaime's Newbie Video Series about GoDaddy abruptly closing domains if someone reports you for spamming - guilty or not. (I moved my domains over to NameCheap thereafter.) I've always taken the extra time to use separate email accounts for just about everything - it helps to minimize a 'chain-reaction account shut-down' that could occur if only 1 email address was used for several internet services. The same goes for eBay - have multiple accounts.

@InternetMktngMinutia I forgot about GoDaddy--you're right. Thanks for adding that info.

Hi Laura! You have many of the sentements I have. This is the United States we're talking here, but unfortunately, private companies are not beholdant to either the spirit or the letter of the constitution. Paypal is particularly irksome though... I'm banned for life, no reason, no recourse - fortunately I wasn't in your shoes where I had thousands there. They are a bank as-it-were, but because they are not fully a bank can do whatever they want - congress needs to visit this.

@sobelocalmobile Agreed. I suspect there are some class action suits that will be done because of this at some point. Awareness is step one! Thanks
