Also included at the end of this video is a short tour of the 1928 Wurlitzer Theatre Organ console with a musical selection from "Die Fledermaus" (1874, Johann Strauss, Jr.) played by Stephen Warner.

  • paul, all is excellent. among the best of what i've seen on youtube from a quality perspective. was this done with the on-board microphone, or did you break out to an external XLR mic? just curious :)

  • Thanks ! Adam and Stephen did an awesome job. The high quality starts with them for sure !!! The Wurlitzer sure is sounding good too lately.

This was the first time I tried the camera with an organ, had internal mic levels set way too low. Overly safe regarding clipping. The camera's audio was ok otherwise. The audio here is from an Edirol R-09HR (internal mics) synced with the video. It is possible to use external mics with the S100 & R-09, but I haven't tried anything fancy like that yet.

  • Excellent post of this roaring 20's finger buster - perhaps even more so for the Sax player than the organist. Thanks for the chance to see the Senate WuriTzer in action. This is among the most distinctive consoles ever turned out by Wurli's legendary N. Tonawanda NY plant. 4 manual consoles like this one and the 4/58 Radio City Art Deco Waterfall were both rare & standouts among superlatives. If this theatre should fall, it would be a grievous cultural & historical sin. More Please!

  • this is SOOOOO fabulous! kudos to everyone involved with this little video! NOW... get the entire concert on the tube!!!! LOL
