Normal emotions - we cannot just throw away the caring feelings we have had for someone. From experience, it is not easy to be friends with an ex. Right now take care of "Kara" and work toward your happiness! Like the tile! I would not recommend white grout as it is harder to keep lookin' clean, maybe a warm beige or gray. I do recommend a premixed adhesive/grout (I used Mapei)applied to both surfaces and worked together. It worked great. If you need some tips, message me. Later, Lynn
