  • I came to this video through the comment you left on Nick Vujicic's music video. Watching this, really what I've got to say is that a support system is crucial. I've been lucky to have a great family supporting me, people I know will accept me no matter what. I hope you've found that in some measure. Keep fighting (and don't worry about 'looking awesome' through all of it; it's a lie that even the most 'graceful' people are that way all the time).

  • I try to remember that life is an energy balance, when things are really shitty i know eventually it will balance out with something positive. I find hope in my son when he smiles at me. i find hope when the seasons change and i feel a new beginning when the air becomes cool and crisp.

  • I don't know, I just endure, it is not a very positive thing. Hormone replacement therapy made me very depressed these last months with no positive results yet after 6 months, doing a little better now. Read this on a blog today:

So I endure to avoid certainty. Because if I die, it will never look better.

    Never was in italics.

  • By the way, I watched this while watching Margaret Cho's Beautiful stand up show.

  • You said "I really have no idea" where you get your tenacity from... I was so hoping you'd come back to that Q, challenge yourself, dig deep, and share your dispenser with us.

My main dispenser is 6'4" tall and my best friend. Here's to the best hubby I have *coffee clink* (Who am I to say "in the world"? ;‹ )

  • Thanks for asking, this made me think. After much thought I've come to realize my dispenser is humour. When I'm feeling down or reality squeezes my brain, a humourous way of looking at a situation or just reveling in someone else's alternative view of the world from comical glasses helps to elevate my hope levels. I think I'm lucky that no matter how bad a day I'm having, I can easily find amusement in a joke, funny picture, comics, a good sit com will still get me rolling.
