Troop 934 stays at Cyphers Mine on day 9 of our 2010 Philmont Trek. We enjoyed blacksmithing, touring the mine, taking a hot shower, panning for gold, the "Stomp", and sleeping in the Adirondacks shelter. The Tobasco Donkeys supply the music with "Fire on the Mountain".

  • @TennVol92 at least yall got showers. They were out of order when we came through. It was a great camp though, and by the time we got there on day 8 (without a camp with showers until then) we didn't really mind or notice our filth anymore

  • Yall got a hot shower at Cyphers Mine? Ours were cold

  • these pictures are from 2010, the guy with the huge beard in 2011 is jack

  • @Vulture255 These pictures are from 2010. I'm guessing you were there in 2011.

  • Huh, they must have switched staff at some point, the only one that I see that was staffing when I was there was the girl, forgot her name. We had a man with a big beard, a young guy, and another girl. They were all nice. Cypher's mine was my personal favorite camp there, great place and great people. As crew leader I can say my whole crew also loved their stomp program.

  • Hole in the ground rather

  • The boys at French Henry say it ain't a mine.... It's an exploratory hole in the mine. ; )

  • I see you found a hunk of gold
