but there are stupid people who misuse guns and the results are many innocent people and children die every year from stray bullets. but I feel every one should have the right to own a gun for self protection even criminals.

It the anti-gun pips get there way and all the gun are banned all that would happen is that criminals would find other ways to break the law and kill people. That is provided the guns in the hands of criminals are also retrieved (which is virtually impossible); else the innocent would be used for target practice for ur neighborhood criminals...

do you think that people would rob banks and such if a lot of civilians were carrying guns? i think we need more guns around. if someone pulls a gun on a clerk in a store, he would have 15 shoppers aiming guns at him. it would make abusing guns a stupid thing to do. and you cant blame guns for what people do. if we ban guns, people will find something else that serves the same purpose, or make their own. its not hard to do.
