The New Birth

The New Birth, is a Christmas poem I wrote about the memories of the warmth of a cozy fire, the aroma of cakes and pies tantalizing taste buds anxious to be satisfied, and the brightly colored presents that you couldn't wait to take a peek at: they brought me joy. They spoke of love. But none of these things brought greater joy, or spoke more sincerely of love, than the knowledge of the birth of our risen Savior. In my heart this is why we celebrate. This is the season. This is the spirit of Christmas--God's gift of love to all.
