  • Funny how you didn't respond directly to me. 1st of all, I know Asia is not a country. That was a typo. Secondly, there IS IN FACT a misconception to what she says, to a point. I speak from personal experience & I've seen plenty of Ethnocentric Americans overseas & I see how American music & movies are adored overseas. Some people in Japan even have American flags in their house. I can't speak for every country, but I've been to a couple of different Asian countries & that is what I speak of.

  • I agree with this video & I'm glad you posted it. But 1 thing that is a misconception is when you said "most other cultures hate Americans." I've been abroad & there are lots of people that actually like Americans & look up to us. So many places are westernized & a lot of people love American music & American movies. Therefore, while your statement might be true of some Muslim nations, a lot of other countries (like Asia) adore Americans. So there is that misconception. Great video though.

  • One needs to understand that the tutor is presenting a general view - a majority view, its not about some flags Japanese put up in Japan. I feel exactly the way she expressed about America, however I do not say every American is bad.
